Arctic metagaz LNG carrier to be towed to Libya

Libya’s National Oil Company (NOC) says the damaged Arctic Metagaz will be towed to a Libyan port, after the vessel drifted closer to the Libyan coast. NOC and Mellitai have also hired a specialist international emergency-response company and set up a dedicated team to manage the operation and pollution risks. Libya is now actively taking control of the incident to prevent environmental damage in its territorial waters.
