Commonwealth LNG becomes first project to get approvals after freeze

Commonwealth LNG received a conditional non-FTA export authorization from the US DOE, and its draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) from the US FERC. After receiving a FERC final order, expected in July 2025, and DOE final authorization, the 9.5 MTPA LNG export project is expected to reach FID in September 2025 and to produce first LNG in Q1 2029.
