Construction starts on Gothenburg bio-LNG facility
Nordion Energi has started building a bio-LNG liquefaction facility at the Port of Gothenburg. The plant will let Swedish biogas producers connected to the gas grid supply shipping, heavy transport and industry beyond the grid. St1 Biokraft has already booked part of the facility’s capacity, while port users are expected to scale up bio-LNG use. The facility is due online by end-2027 and will produce about 50 tonnes of bio-LNG per day.
