Deutsche ReGas offers additional Mukran regas capacity
Deutsche ReGas plans to offer up to 2 bcm of additional long-term regasification capacity at its Mukran LNG terminal in the Baltic Sea, following strong market demand after its 2025 open season. The expansion would raise the terminal’s capacity to 13.5 bcm under a regulatory exemption. The bidding process is expected to be defined in Q1 2026, with discussions open to both existing and new customers, and capacity available through 2043. Mukran currently operates with the FSRU Neptune (145,000 cbm), while Deutsche ReGas is seeking to bring back a second FSRU to further strengthen Germany’s and Europe’s energy security.
