Egyptian LNG imports soar above nameplate capacity in the first month of FSRU’s operation
In July 2024, Egypt resumed LNG imports via a new FSRU, operating above capacity to address gas shortages. Most imports came from the U.S., with additional volumes via Jordan. Egypt may expand regasification capacity due to declining domestic gas production.
