Eni, YPF seal Argentina LNG deal
Eni has signed a participation deal with Argentina’s YPF for Phase 3 of the Argentina LNG project, targeting 12 mtpa via floating liquefaction units. The full project aims for 30 mtpa by 2030, leveraging Vaca Muerta gas. Phase 3 FID will follow this agreement. Phase 1 (2.45 mtpa) involves the FLNG Hilli and starts in 2027, while Phase 2 (10 mtpa, 2 FLNGs) is being developed with Shell, aiming for a 2028 start.
