Excelerate confirms Colombian FSRU charter deal

Excelerate signed a seven-year charter with Frontera’s Puerto Bahia to deploy the 150,590-cbm FSRU Express to Colombia from Q1 2027. The unit will support a new Cartagena LNG import project tied to Ecopetrol, starting at 126 MMcfd of regasification and rising to 300 MMcfd after two years. Excelerate also agreed to buy the LNG carrier Methane Patricia Camila for its first FSRU conversion project, targeting commercial deployment in early 2028.
