Excelerate, Invenire move forward with Indian LNG terminal plans

Excelerate Energy and India’s Invenire Petrodyne are planning to develop an FSRU-based LNG import terminal at the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port in Haldia. The partners have secured a 30-year license for the project and recently reaffirmed their plans during a visit to India by Excelerate CEO Steven Kobos, who highlighted the strategic importance of floating LNG infrastructure in meeting the country’s rapidly growing gas demand. India currently imports LNG through eight onshore terminals.
