Gasum in Norwegian bio-LNG move
Gasum, a Finnish state-owned energy company focused on biogas and LNG, has signed a contract to buy all bio-LNG from Vireo’s (Norweigian company developing bio-LNG production facilities) new Hardanger plant in Norway. The plant will produce 90 GWh of bio-LNG annually from organic waste. Vireo is backed by french SWEN Capital Partners. Gasum will use the fuel for maritime and heavy transport, aiming to supply 7 TWh of biogas annually by 2027.
