Gasum in Norwegian bio-LNG move

Gasum, a  Finnish state-owned energy company focused on biogas and LNG, has signed a  contract to buy all bio-LNG from Vireo’s (Norweigian company developing  bio-LNG production facilities) new Hardanger plant in Norway.  The plant will produce 90 GWh of bio-LNG  annually from organic waste. Vireo is backed by french SWEN Capital Partners.  Gasum will use the fuel for maritime and heavy transport, aiming to supply 7 TWh of biogas annually by 2027.
