Kimmeridge take FID on Commonwealth LNG project
Kimmeridge, Mubadala Energy and CPP Investments took FID on the $13 billion, 9.5 mtpa Commonwealth LNG project near Cameron. The decision starts full construction and includes $9.75 billion in project financing, with first operations targeted in 2030. Technip Energies is the EPC partner, while key equipment will come from Baker Hughes, Honeywell and Solar Turbines. Commonwealth has secured long-term offtake with EQT, Glencore, Mercuria, Petronas and Aramco Trading, after replacing the terminated Jera SPA.
