Lipigas and HAM launch Chile’s first bio-LNG plant

Chile’s Lipigas and Spain’s HAM have started up a bio-LNG production plant in the Nuble region, which HAM says is the first of its kind in South America. The facility will initially process 7,500 cbm/day of biogas, ramping up to 16,500 cbm/day, and the resulting bio-LNG will supply Lipigas service stations to fuel trucking fleets and support the decarbonization of Chile’s road transport sector.
