Lithuania’s KN Completes First Virtual Biomethane Liquefaction

KN Energies, together with Gasum and Equinor, has carried out the first virtual biomethane liquefaction operation at the Klaipeda LNG terminal. Bio-LNG was loaded onto Gasum’s Coral Energy bunkering vessel, with Equinor handling the virtual liquefaction process. KN said the new service allows biomethane producers and suppliers across Europe to integrate into the LNG logistics chain, marking the Klaipeda terminal as the first in the Baltic region to offer such capability.
