MSC orders more LNG-powered containerships in China

Switzerland-based MSC has reportedly ordered six more LNG dual-fuel containerships (22,000 TEU) from China’s Hengli Heavy Industry, bringing its total order from the yard to 26 vessels. MSC previously ordered 21,000 and 24,000 TEU LNG dual-fuel ships, with deliveries starting from 2026 and 2028, respectively.
