Petronas and Jera seal 20-year LNG SPA

Petronas signed a 20-year LNG SPA with Jera for up to 2 mtpa from 2028, mainly sourced from Malaysia. Jera says the contract strengthens Japan’s supply security while adding flexibility to manage seasonal LNG demand swings. Petronas will supply the volumes from its portfolio, including Bintulu and FLNG assets, using new 174,000-cbm LNG carriers.
