Petronas, MISC seal 20-year charter deal for five LNG carrier

Petronas LNG has signed a 20-year time charter agreement with MISC for five newbuild 174,000-cbm LNG carriers. The vessels, ordered by MISC at China’s Hudong-Zhonghua, are scheduled to enter charter service between 2029 and 2030. They will feature efficiency-focused technologies including XDF2.1 propulsion, shaft generators, onboard reliquefaction and GTT’s NO96 Super+ containment system.
