PTT to buy more LNG from Cheniere

PTT is seeking to increase LNG volumes under its long-term contract with Cheniere from 1 mtpa to 1.3 mtpa to strengthen Thailand’s energy security through 2041. The two sides also discussed accelerating some cargo deliveries from the third quarter of 2026 to the second quarter in response to risks linked to Middle East tensions. Cheniere said it would work to speed up the process as much as possible. The move comes as Thailand takes additional steps, including spot LNG purchases, to ensure power system stability.
