Russian LNG production rises

Russia’s LNG output reached 28.4 mmt from January to October 2024, up 6.8% from the same period in 2023 as 26.6 mmt, with a full-year target of 35 mmt. Major contributors include Novatek’s 17.4 mtpa Yamal LNG and Gazprom’s 10.8 mtpa Sakhalin-2. Despite Western sanctions, Novatek advanced the Arctic LNG-2 project, delivering two 6.6 mtpa production platforms to the Gydan Peninsula.
