Singapore starts onshore infrastructure work for second LNG terminal

Singapore LNG has officially started construction of the onshore connecting infrastructure for the country’s second LNG terminal, which will be an FSRU-based import facility at Jurong Port. The infrastructure will include the main process area, a jetty for the FSRU, and pipelines to send regasified LNG into Singapore’s national gas grid. The new terminal, supported by an FSRU being built by Hanwha Ocean for MOL, is expected to begin operating in 2030 with a regasification capacity of 5 mtpa.
