TotalEnergies in European LNG-to-power move

TotalEnergies said its agreement to acquire 50 percent of Czech utility EPH’s flexible power generation platform in Western Europe will enable the company to monetize about 2 mtpa of LNG through gas-to-power operations. Under the agreement, EPH will receive about 4.1% in TotalEnergies shares. The platform, which includes gas-fired and biomass plants and battery assets across Italy, the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, and France, is valued at €10.6 billion.
