TotalEnergies, TES partner with Japanese firms on US e-methane project

TotalEnergies and TES have brought in Osaka Gas, Toho Gas, and Itochu as partners in the planned Live Oak e-methane  (e-NG) project in Nebraska, granting the Japanese trio a combined 33.3% stake. TotalEnergies and TES will each retain 33.35%. The project targets FID in 2027 and commercial operations in 2030, with e-NG exports to Japan, where Osaka Gas and Toho Gas are expected to be the main offtakers as they work toward injecting 1% carbon-neutral gas into Japan’s grid by 2030.
