UKMTO reports security incident involving LNG carrier off Yemen

UKMTO (United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations) reported that an LNG carrier was approached by a skiff carrying seven people approximately 140 nautical miles southeast of Al Mukalla, Yemen, on 17 October. The skiff fired two shots and changed course after the carrier’s armed security team fired warning shots. Authorities are investigating, and vessels have been advised to transit with caution.
