World Bank’s IFC to support Lebanon’s LNG-to-power project

The International Finance Corporation has signed an agreement with the Lebanese government to support the development of an LNG-to-power project using a public-private partnership model. The plan includes deploying an FSRU to import, store, and regasify LNG. Lebanon currently has no LNG import infrastructure, though it previously launched tenders for FSRU-based terminals.
