Adnoc Takes FID on Umm Shaif Gas Development

Adnoc has taken a final investment decision (FID) to develop the Umm Shaif Gas Cap project offshore Abu Dhabi. The project is expected to produce more than 600 million standard cubic feet per day of natural gas and associated gas liquids from 2030, equivalent to almost 10% of the UAE's current daily gas consumption. According to Adnoc, the development forms part of its integrated gas growth strategy and supports the expansion of its global LNG business, which targets 47 mtpa of marketable LNG capacity by 2035.
