ARC Resources shareholders approve $16.4 billion acquisition by Shell
ARC Resources have approved Shell's proposed US$16.4 billion acquisition of the Canadian natural gas producer, moving the transaction closer to completion in the second half of 2026. More importantly, the acquisition strengthens Shell's long-term feedgas position in western Canada, where ARC's gas reserves are located alongside Shell's existing Groundbirch assets that supply the LNG Canada export facility. By securing additional upstream gas resources, Shell aims to underpin future LNG production and support the potential expansion of LNG Canada.
