Centrica, ECP to buy UK’s Grain LNG terminal

Centrica and Energy Capital Partners (ECP) will acquire National Grid’sIsle of Grain LNG terminal in the UK for £1.66 billion ($2.25 billion), each holding a 50% stake. The completion is expected later this year pending UK National Security and Investment approval (NSIA) and Mandatory antitrust(competition) approval. This facility consists of LNG terminal with 15 MTPAcapacity and 1,000,000 cbm storage and has all capacity contracted until 2029and significant long-term commitments beyond.
