Chhara gets government green light to import LNG

India’s Ministry of Ports has certified Chhara Port in Gujarat to import LNG by sea for three years (May 2025–May 2028), enhancing the country’s energy security. The LNG terminal at Chhara, operated by HPCL LNG (a wholly owned HPCL subsidiary), includes full facilities for LNG handling and regasification.
