Corpus Christi expansion project to get first gas in coming weeks
Cheniere Energy plans to start introducing gas into the first train of its Corpus Christi expansion project soon. The $8 billion Stage 3 expansion will add seven midscale trains, each with a capacity of about 1.49 mtpa. With construction 67.8% complete, Cheniere expects to produce its first LNG from Train 1 by the end of the year and achieve substantial completion of all three new trains in 2025, targeting total production of 47 to 48 mt of LNG across its facilities next year.
