Energy Transfer suspends Lake Charles LNG development

Texas-based Energy Transfer has suspended development of its proposed Lake Charles LNG export project in Louisiana. The company said it will redirect capital toward its “significant backlog of natural gas pipeline infrastructure projects.”  Energy Transfer added that while it will no longer advance the project itself, it remains open to discussions with third parties interested in developing Lake Charles LNG.
