Eni, Mercuria to form trading JV
Eni and Mercuria signed a deal to create a 50/50 joint venture for global energy commodities trading, including LNG. The JV will operate independently through international trading hubs and cover oil, biofuels, gas, LNG, logistics and infrastructure rights. Both companies aim to combine Eni’s physical asset portfolio with Mercuria’s trading, logistics and risk management capabilities. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is intended to expand Eni’s trading footprint and improve value capture across the energy chain.
