Eni, XRG to join upstream part of YPF’s Argentina LNG project

XRG and Eni signed deals with YPF to join the upstream segment of the integrated Argentina LNG project. Each will take a 32% stake in three Vaca Muerta gas blocks, while YPF will retain 36% after completion. The blocks will supply the first 12 mtpa phase of Argentina LNG, based on two 6 mtpa floating LNG units. The partners are also studying a third FLNG, with FID targeted in 2026 and first commercial operations expected in 2030.
