Equinor to boost gas production from Norway's Troll gas field

Equinor and partners will invest about $410 million in the TWIN subsea project to boost gas output from Norway’s Troll field. The project will add 2–2.5 mcm/day, equivalent to about 0.5–0.7 mtpa of LNG, for the first eight years. TWIN will contribute around 11 bcm of gas in total and is expected to start production as early as 2028. It is the third stage of Troll Phase 3, using two subsea wells and existing infrastructure to speed up development and cut costs.
