
PETROS and Höegh Evi sign development agreement for Kuching LNG terminal
PETROS and Höegh Evi announced on 30 September 2026 a joint development agreement for the proposed Kuching LNG Terminal in Sarawak, Malaysia. The partners plan to jointly develop, own and operate a floating storage and regasification unit, mooring infrastructure, connecting pipelines and onshore receiving facilities.
The terminal is intended to supply gas for power generation as part of the Kuching Low-Carbon Hub. The partners are targeting first gas by the end of 2029 and will assess opportunities to accelerate delivery. The announcement did not disclose regasification capacity or a final investment decision.
