ExxonMobil CEO says Golden Pass LNG launch could slip into 2026
ExxonMobil announced that the Golden Pass LNG export terminal in Texas may be delayed until 2026, with initial production now expected in late 2025. The project, co-owned by QatarEnergy, has faced construction setbacks due to Zachry Holdings' bankruptcy. Additionally, the U.S. FERC has granted Golden Pass LNG a three-year extension to complete the terminal, moving the in-service deadline to November 30, 2026, to account for these delays.
