Glencore, Commonwealth LNG finalize 20-year supply deal

Switzerland-based Glencore has finalized a SPA with Kimmeridge's Commonwealth LNG to purchase 2 mtpa of LNG for 20 years from Commonwealth's planned export terminal in Cameron, Louisiana. The deal also includes a natural gas supply agreement with Kimmeridge Texas Gas (KTG). Commonwealth LNG now has 3 mtpa of offtake secured and is aiming for an FID in Q3 2025, with first LNG production expected in 2029. The facility will feature six liquefaction trains.
