Glencore pens Chinese LNG supply deal

Glencore signed a 10-year LNG SPA with S&T International Natural Gas Trading, a unit linked to China Suntien Green Energy. Volumes and start date were not disclosed, with supply to come from Glencore’s global LNG portfolio. The deal strengthens Glencore’s position in China’s LNG market and supports gas supply security in Hebei province. S&T International aims to procure LNG for Chinese users via the Tangshan LNG terminal and nearby import facilities.
