Golar orders fourth FLNG in China

Golar LNG signed a $2.45bn EPC agreement with CIMC Raffles for its fourth FLNG unit and second MKII FLNG design. The converted FLNG will have 3.5 mtpa of liquefaction capacity and is expected to be delivered by end-2029. It will be similar to FLNG Esperanza, Golar’s first MKII unit currently under conversion for deployment in Argentina. The order lifts Golar’s controlled liquefaction capacity above 12 mtpa.

Venture Global, Tokyo Gas sign 20-year LNG supply deal

Venture Global has signed a long-term SPA with Japan’s Tokyo Gas, under which the utility will purchase 1 mtpa of LNG for 20 years starting in 2030. Venture Global did not disclose further details on the agreement.
