Golden Pass LNG receives FERC approval to export commissioning cargoes
Golden Pass LNG has received US FERC approval to export commissioning cargoes from its Texas LNG plant, after requesting authorization to load its first cargo by April 15, 2026. The project announced first LNG production from Train 1 this week and expects to begin exports to global customers in Q2 2026. Golden Pass, owned 70 percent by QatarEnergy and 30 percent by ExxonMobil, has three liquefaction trains with total capacity of 18.1 mtpa.
