Harvest expects to kick off Kenai LNG imports in 2029
Harvest Midstream now expects to start LNG imports through Alaska’s closed Kenai LNG plant in 2029, instead of 2028. The company is advancing the project as a near-term solution for Southcentral Alaska’s gas supply needs, with utility talks and regulatory work ongoing. Kenai LNG would repurpose existing export infrastructure, including 107,000 cbm of storage and legacy LNG vessel dock facilities. Harvest is still working toward FID, with the planned import project targeting up to 0.4 mtpa.
