Inpex inks preliminary Abadi LNG deals with Shell and BP

Inpex reached preliminary LNG offtake agreements for Indonesia’s Abadi LNG project with BP, Shell, PGN and PLN. The deals are expected to cover a significant share of Abadi’s planned 9.5 mtpa LNG output and support progress toward FID. Inpex also agreed in principle to supply pipeline gas from Abadi to fertilizer producer Pupuk Indonesia.The $20 billion project received environmental approval in February, with FEED due by end-2026 before EPC validation.
