NFE secures final approval for Puerto Rico LNG supply deal

US LNG firm New Fortress Energy has received final approval from Puerto Rico’s Financial Oversight and Management Board for its seven-year gas supply agreement. The deal will supply LNG-derived natural gas to Puerto Rico’s power system, with volumes expected to come from NFE’s 1.4 mtpa Fast LNG facility offshore Altamira, Mexico.
