Pembina, Ovintiv sign 12-year Cedar LNG liquefaction deal

Pembina Pipeline and Ovintiv have signed a 12-year agreement covering 0.5 mtpa of liquefaction capacity at the Cedar LNG project on Canada’s West Coast, with supplies set to begin at startup, expected in late 2028. The deal follows a similar synthetic liquefaction arrangement with Petronas and brings Pembina’s remarketed Cedar LNG capacity to a total of 1.5 mtpa.
