QatarEnergy pens 20-year LNG SPA with Malaysia’s Petronas

QatarEnergy signed, at the Doha LNG2026 conference, its first long-term LNG sales and purchase agreement with Petronas, covering 2 mtpa over 20 years starting in 2028. The deal aligns with QatarEnergy’s North Field expansion, which will lift Qatar’s LNG capacity to 142 mtpa by 2030.
