Singapore receives first ISCC EU-certified bio-LNG cargo
Shell and Singapore LNG Corporation have announced Singapore’s first delivery of an ISCC EU-certified bio-LNG cargo, following the arrival of the LNG carrier Macoma at the SLNG terminal.
Certified biomethane sourced in the United States was mass-balanced through the pipeline network to a liquefaction plant and into a conventional LNG cargo. The delivery demonstrates a certified renewable-gas supply chain using existing LNG infrastructure.
Under mass balancing, certified renewable gas is accounted for across the supply chain even when mixed with conventional gas.
