TotalEnergies and Amni take FID on Ima gas project to supply Nigeria LNG

TotalEnergies and Amni took FID on Nigeria’s offshore Ima gas project, which will supply feedgas to Nigeria LNG’s Bonny Island plant. The shallow-water field will start production in 2028, reaching a plateau of 350 MMcf/d. Ima will provide about one-third of the gas needed for NLNG’s Train 7 expansion, which will lift capacity from 22 to 30 mtpa. TotalEnergies says the project is low-cost and low-emissions, with shore power, no flaring and strong Nigerian contractor participation.
