Türkiye weighs the addition of two more FSRUs

Türkiye plans to add a second FSRU at the Dortyol terminal and commission another in the Mediterranean, according to Energy Minister Bayraktar. The Dortyol facility, operating since 2021, has completed its 100th LNG ship-to-ship transfer and supplies gas to 17 provinces. The expansion would double Dortyol’s capacity and lift total daily regasification capacity to 200 million cubic meters. This would allow LNG to cover more than half of Türkiye’s natural gas demand and strengthen energy security.
