Venture Global’s CP2 LNG Received Final Non-FTA Export Approval
Venture Global LNG has received final non-FTA export approval from the US Department of Energy for its CP2 LNG project in Louisiana, authorizing exports of up to 3.96 Bcf/d of natural gas as LNG. The approval follows the conditional authorization granted earlier this year. Venture Global took FID on Phase 1 in July, with first LNG expected in late 2027. Phase 1 has a nameplate capacity of 14.4 mtpa, potentially rising to 20 mtpa, with 13.5 mtpa already contracted to Petronas, Eni, and SEFE.
