Worley secures contract with QatarEnergy
Worley has been awarded a contract by Samsung C&T to provide detailed engineering services for QatarEnergy’s CO₂ LNG sequestration project in Ras Laffan, supporting the permanent storage of about 4.3 million tonnes of CO₂ per year. The project involves capturing, compressing, and transporting CO₂ from LNG plants via a 20 km pipeline to a depleted gas reservoir, with completion targeted for 2030. This follows Worley’s earlier FEED work, while Samsung C&T secured a $1.3 billion EPC contract for the carbon compression and transport facilities.
