Axpo and Vitol complete first LNG bunkering operation in Civitavecchia

Axpo and Vitol completed the first ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operation at Italy’s Port of Civitavecchia. Axpo’s 7,500-cbm Green Pearl delivered LNG to a cruise vessel operated by a leading international cruise line. Civitavecchia, Italy’s largest cruise port and the main port serving Rome, now joins Genoa and Naples in Axpo’s Italian LNG bunkering network. Axpo is expanding Mediterranean coverage with Green Pearl in Italy and the 12,500-cbm Alisios LNG already operating in Spain.
