Chevron says Wheatstone LNG facility is running at half capacity
Chevron’s Wheatstone LNG plant in Western Australia is operating at around 50% capacity after one of its two trains resumed full output, while repairs continue on the second train following cyclone damage. The facility, which has a total capacity of 8.9 mtpa, is progressively ramping up LNG production as key equipment, such as damaged heat exchangers, is replaced. LNG output is expected to return to full capacity in the coming weeks.
