Commonwealth LNG and Mercuria ink 20-year SPA
Commonwealth LNG signed a 20-year SPA with Mercuria to supply 1 mtpa of LNG from its 9.5 mtpa export project in Louisiana, alongside a matching gas supply deal. With this agreement, Commonwealth has now secured long-term offtake for 7 mtpa of its total permitted capacity. Existing SPAs include 1 mtpa with Petronas, 2 mtpa with Glencore, 1 mtpa with Jera, and 1 mtpa with EQT, while talks continue for the remaining volumes. The project is advancing toward a final investment decision planned for Q1 2026, supported by EPC contracts with Technip Energies.
